I believe that all of us have something great to offer which makes us ‘desirable’ and ‘dateable’. But for this post, let me list down the reasons why you should date a Filipina. You might say that this is going to be a biased post, but I have to tell you that these are based on careful observation and tidbits I got from conversing with men during my travels. I have to warn you though, some can get pretty crazy – it’s actually a lot of fun.

Do you want to have your instant happy pill? Filipinas are known to have a great personality. They are bubbly, cheerful positive and they always try to maintain a sunny disposition in life. Sometimes you will even think where they get all their smiles! When you date a Filipina, you won’t get bored and you will always feel happy. Just in case you had a rough day at work, or got a flat tire, your Filipina partner will try to turn your frown upside down. You will be bombarded with soft kisses, some corny jokes, or a gentle foot massage – anything that will make your stress level down.
She Will Not Embarrass You – On Purpose!
Do you worry that you will date someone that might embarrass you in front of your family and friends? That’s unlikely to happen if you are to date a Filipina. Bear in mind that most of us were brought up to have good manners. As young ladies, we were trained to act properly and decently, most especially when in public or when meeting someone new. Of course, we can get funny and crazy ones we get closer to your loved ones. But for the first impression, we make sure we give our best shot.

Filipinas value education and we were raised to become street – smart. Most of us love to learn new things. While some of us were not able to finish a college degree, you can’t say that we are dumb or something similar. You see, we are naturally resourceful and we know how to survive in any situation that the world will throw at us. We adapt well and we know how to ‘self – study’ to improve our knowledge and skills. Trust us, we can talk about practically anything, and have an opinion on it!

If you are dating a Filipina, expect that you would get exemplary service – that’s for sure! We truly enjoy taking care of our partners. It is normal for us to wake up earlier than the usual to prepare your breakfast, your clothes for the day, your gadgets and all that jazz. We want you to feel loved at all times. We want you to feel like a king when you are with us. Just a tip – Don’t get annoyed if we send random messages every hour of the day just to check if you are doing well. It’s just that – we can’t help but be sweet.
Her Family Will Treat You Like A King!
And if things get pretty serious, her family will definitely know almost everything about you and your relationship. Don’t be overwhelmed if on your first visit to their house, you will see a lot of food prepared for you. You will have a taste of Adobo, Sinigang, Lechon and even Bagoong! Her relatives would be wearing big smiles, hugging you like they know you for quite some time. Filipinos are really warm and that’s quite hard to resist.
You Will Always Get “Pasalubong”
Whenever your Filipina girlfriend goes to a new place without you, you are sure to get something from that trip. It can be a shirt, food or a simple keychain. We call it ‘pasalubong’ and it’s something you should get used to. It’s a simple reminder that hey, we thought of you while we were away! Isn’t that sweet? Hint: You might need to do the same when you are out of town.
Pick A Flower And She’d Be Ecstatic
Filipinas are not hard to please. You don’t have to buy us luxury bags and jewelries. You don’t even have to take us to expensive vacations. We just want to feel loved. We appreciate simple romantic gestures. You can already sweep us off our feet by having a candlelit dinner at your own apartment. Or maybe, you can cook some eggs and prepare a breakfast in bed. If you don’t have kitchen skills, then just fetch us from work and we would be so happy.

And to top it all off, Filipinas are loyal. When we commit ourselves, we give our 100%. We are known to be loyal to our partners. In fact, some of us are martyrs. But of course, that shouldn’t give you a license to hurt us, to cheat on us, or to take us for granted. We expect full commitment too and I think that’s just fair.
Other people think that Filipinas are just after the money, most especially when dating a foreigner. While unfortunately, it is true in few and isolated cases, I know for a fact that a lot of Filipinas date foreigners because of attraction and emotions and not because of dollars or pounds. If we feel that you are true and dating us with pure and clean intentions, expect that you will get the best of us.
